Data Loss Prevention Consultant

Important : Five (5) or more years direct hands on experience deploying DLP and CASB solutions

Position Summary

As a member of the IT Solutions Delivery team the Data Loss Prevention Consultant is responsible for direct hands on implementation of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) solutions in the client’s on-premise and cloud environments.

This role will work directly with the company’s Software Development, IT Infrastructure and Operations and Information Technology Security teams to evaluate, develop, test, install, deploy, configure and operationalize there DLP and CASB solution.

This is a contract hands on DLP and CASB solution implementation role.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the technical subject matter expert in the deployment, integration, and configuration of McAfee DLP and CASB solution to protect the conpany’s data
  • Investigate, design, and architect DLP and CASB controls
  • Mapping data protection administrative policies into data loss prevention technical controls across endpoint, email and on-premise and cloud platforms
  • Implement enterprise-wide McAfee DLP and CASB solutions
  • Implement data protection controls for on-premise systems and end user computers and mobile phones
  • Implement data protection controls in Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure and other SaaS services
  • Develop and tune DLP and CASB policies related to PCI-DSS standard and Canadian privacy regulations
  • Implement automated responses to DLP and CASB incidents
  • Assist in the development of security control frameworks and standards related to data protection
  • Train IT Operations teams to operate, maintain and support DLP and CASB solutions
  • Act as Tier 4 technical escalation contact for IT Operations teams for DLP and CASB issues

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Five (5) or more years direct hands on experience deploying DLP and CASB solutions
  • Strong understanding of Canadian privacy regulations and the PCI-DSS standard
  • Strong understanding of IT security frameworks including NIST, CIS and OWASP
  • Proven track record of securing data across multiple platforms
  • Understanding of Zero Trust framework as it relates to data loss prevention
