RESPONSIBILITES
Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs (often using PowerMill software)Perform setup and operation of 5-axis CNC machines and Horizontal Boring Mills, specifically with Heidenhain controls.Read and interpret complex 3D and 2D engineering models and technical drawings to determine proper machining techniques, tolerances, and tool paths.Choose appropriate cutting tools, calculate speeds / feeds to optimize performance, and use pre-setters for tool gage lengths.Ensure high-precision, close-tolerance components are produced, performing in-process dimensional verification and final inspections.Perform daily maintenance and troubleshooting on machines and programs to ensure safety and efficiency.REQUIREMENTS
Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment is typically required.Strong experience with PowerMill is highly desired.Experience with Heidenhain controls and DMG DMU 5-axis machines is considered a significant asset.Proficient in reading 3D / 2D engineering drawingsGood communication skillsBasic computer skills requiredExperience with Microsoft Office is an asset#INDSTRIVEON
