Track Design Lead

Our full-service team utilizes advanced 3D modeling to provide comprehensive design, construction, and technology integration for clients across North America. Parsons is seeking an experienced Senior Track Engineer to join our Rail and Transit division as a Track Engineering Design Lead . The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in track design for large-scale transit projects. This role would be based in the Greater Toronto Area Region.

Responsibilities :

• Coordinate and lead the design and alignment of track infrastructure for various transit systems using AutoCAD Civil3D or MicroStation Open Rail Designer.
• Responsible for leading internal Designers and Engineers with a primary focus on managing the track design and resolving technical challenges to reach a design solution that meets all requirements including specifications and standards and adheres to Parsons QAQC processes.
• Prepare calculations, engineering design plans, technical reports, specifications and cost estimates, and present to internal and external stakeholders
• Ensuring effective design coordination across disciplines. Participate in design coordination meetings and address critical issues as it pertain to track design within an interdisciplinary team.
• Mentor and develop junior-intermediate track staff. Provide functional guidance and support to enhance technical and non-technical skills.
• Review and approve shop drawings and technical documentation. Implement railway systems and procedures to ensure cost-effective, high-quality, and safe project delivery.
• Contribute to proposal preparation, develop and verify technical scopes, and assist with budget and schedule planning and management.
• Be a leader within the Project Team to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality rail transportation projects on time, meeting client expectations and objectives.
