Our client, a major Oil and Gas client, is looking for a Control Room Operator to join their team on a 6-month contract in Sherwood Park, AB.
Responsibilities
- Ensure pipeline systems are running optimally; Terminal and Pipeline Operations are working together to meet targets / goals.
- Monitoring and trouble shooting leak detection on liquid pipelines.
- Troubleshoot complex problems for equipment and processes.
- Operate equipment within established parameters per procedures and practices.
- Manage safety-sensitive situations in conjunction with Emergency Response Team.
- Work with other Facilities throughout Alberta and ensure strong team oriented process.
- Provide clear and concise communication between Control Room and Facility, Pipeline & Maintenance Personnel.
- Prepare for daily start of shift turnover and meetings.
- Maintain daily E-Log.
- Update Procedures for Pipeline and Terminal receipts and deliveries.
- Attend Operation Meetings (shift and non-shift) with Control Center Team.
Requirements
- Ability to see monitors in control room and review tables and other data produced in ongoing operation of the pipelines.
- Ability to work 12 hour shift rotation, days and nights.
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to provide timely and relevant feedback
- Ability to accept supervision and direction and work cooperatively with co-workers
