Primary Responsibilities
- Visit sites to determine the nature of the work to be carried out
- Carry out field surveys
- Design overhead and / or underground distribution networks
- Draw up plans using AutoCAD software
- Work with geographic information systems (GIS)
- Research property rights and prepare easement applications
- Estimating quantities of materials, labour requirements and costs
- Applying for permits from the entities concerned (municipal, ministerial, etc.)
- Supervise work, in residence or in support (occasionally)
- Ensure rigorous follow-up of projects
- Work closely with customers
Qualifications
College Diploma or DEC in civil, electrical or telecommunications engineeringKnowledge of geographic information systems (GIS), an assetKnowledge of utility distribution and / or telecommunications networksKnowledge of AutoCAD and the Microsoft (MS) Office suiteAbility to work on different projects simultaneouslyStrong client service orientationInterest in outdoor workAvailable to travel for field surveys (up to 20% of the time)Fluency in spoken and written FrenchValid Driver's licence and access to a vehicleWhy choose CIMA+
