Under the authority du.de the Project Manager, the mainresponsibilities of the Work Coordinator are to coordinate the work related to his or her activity and to ensure that permits are obtained. More specifically, the Works Coordinator – Civil acts as an expert in road construction, earthworks and all other civil work required for the site.

  • Bachelor of Engineering;
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant estimating experience and on-site experience is preferred;
  • Demonstrate an interest in the renewable energy sector
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French;
  • Intermediate proficiency in spoken and written English to interact with subcontractors, suppliers, clients, partners, and colleagues at the national level. Is required to participate in coordination meetings and deliver progress updates to English-speaking stakeholders.
  • Excellent proficiency in MS Project, Excel and knowledge of Bid2win is an asset;
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity; Excellent analytical skills, thoroughness and attention to detail;
  • Versatility, autonomy and resourcefulness;
  • Excellent ability to manage pressure and stress.

What you will do to complete this mission successfully:

  • With the assistance of the Project Manager, prepare the contracts required for the execution and control of the work for subcontractors, suppliers and consultants;
  • Assist the Superintendent in the coordination of civil engineering activities;
  • Confirm and coordinate technical requirements for civil engineering and maintenance with field teams and civil contractors;
  • Validate the progress of the civil work and produce a follow-up report periodically;
  • Coordinate construction in collaboration with the Civil Superintendent, Environmental Engineer, subcontractors, municipal and regional representatives, and developer/client representative Develop and implement the quality control program for civilian work;
  • Coordinate inspections to verify the compliance of the work;
  • Ensure the application of technical procedures to the work carried out in collaboration with the project engineer;
  • Follow up on the purchases, receipt and inventory of materials required for the execution of the work;
  • Actively participate in the implementation of the prevention program and support the Prevention Officer with regard to the requirements and implementation of traffic controls in collaboration with the Civil Superintendent.
