Job Summary :

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Process Engineer / Project Manager to join our team. In this role, you will support the planning, coordination, and execution of process engineering projects within our mining operations.

You will work closely with senior engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that projects are completed on time, within scope, and on budget.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Project Support : Assist in the planning, scheduling, and execution of process engineering projects, ensuring alignment with company objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Process Optimization : Work with senior engineers to identify opportunities for improving mining processes, including ore processing, waste management, and resource recovery.
  • Data Analysis : Collect, analyze, and interpret process data to support decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
  • Documentation : Prepare and maintain project documentation, including technical reports, project schedules, and progress updates.
  • Cost Management : Assist in monitoring project costs, tracking expenditures, and ensuring adherence to budget constraints.
  • Stakeholder Communication : Coordinate with various stakeholders, including operations teams, vendors, and contractors, to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) : Support the implementation of safety protocols and environmental regulations in all project activities.
  • Technical Support : Provide technical support to operations teams, helping to troubleshoot and resolve process-related issues.
  • Continuous Improvement : Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of mining operations.

Qualifications :

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience : 1-3 years of experience in process engineering, preferably within the mining industry. Experience with project management is a plus.
  • Technical Skills : Knowledge of process design, equipment selection, and process optimization techniques. Familiarity with process simulation software (e.

g., Aspen, HYSYS) is an asset.

Project Management : Basic understanding of project management principles and practices. Exposure to project management software (e.

g., MS Project) is preferred.

  • Analytical Skills : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills : Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly and concisely.
