Purpose :
The Manager, Data Analytics is responsible for producing meaningful reports and data-based recommendations for Canadian Operations that align with the strategic direction of Global Operations and Canadian Banking, documenting complex business requirements for deliverables such as key performance indicators (KPIs) and interactive dashboards.
The incumbent leverages business area knowledge in partnership with project stakeholders to deliver key insights that enable business strategies and a superior customer experience.
Is this role right for you? In this role, you will :
- Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
- Provides data mining techniques and statistical analysis to provide fact-based recommendations to support initiatives, improve business processes, and increase resource utilization.
- Independently documents the complex measurements from multi-faceted business processes that align with the strategic direction.
This includes interviewing stakeholders to identify key business drivers, translate their business knowledge into metrics that are quantifiable, and prepare instructions / training material to align solutions with business strategies or commitments.
- Develops KPIs, dashboards, and recommendations after confirming business requirements from relevant stakeholders. Understands the nature of the programming logic and liaise with SQL developers to perform gap analysis on data elements and to define the logic framework and solution design.
- Utilizes Power BI Services / Server to deliver timely analysis and interactive reporting to address specific inquiries.
Present findings and share insights with team members before releasing out to stakeholders. This includes business process monitoring on a regular basis for health check of operations.
Builds effective relationships with relevant stakeholders and internal network of business partners to achieve quantifiable and measurable improvements.
Effectively communicates business insights to stakeholders and provide training to drive report adoption.
- Builds and maintains VP+ Power BI reports, investigating issues and answering stakeholders' questions.
- Maintains awareness of best practices in the field of Business Analytics and adopt a continuous learning model to reflect quality of work that is produced for Canadian Operations.
Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? - We'd love to work with you if you have :
- University degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or related fields
- 4+ years of practical experience in business intelligence and data analytics is required.
- Advanced knowledge of Power BI and DAX language
- Advanced knowledge of data reconciliation, data manipulation, management, aggregation, and analysis techniques using various tools like Excel, Access, SQL, ETL, SAS
- Experience with Python data libraries is an asset.
- Familiarity of Commercial Banking products, services, policies and procedures, banking regulations and related regulatory requirements is an asset.
- Database design, data mining, profiling, and modelling techniques and / or other programming languages are desirable.
- Experience with PEGA system is an asset
Work Arrangement : This position is currently a Hybrid role. Please note that this is subject to change based on the needs of the business.
