Position : Full-time Cook
Pay Rate : $20.06 per hour
Required : Immediately to October 2024 35 hrs / wk day, afternoon and weekend shifts
November 2024 to January 2025 15-25 hrs / wk day, afternoon and weekend shifts
The Shaw’s Green Room is an onsite dining facility that provides food service for staff, Festival Theatre Café and internal catered events.
All food is prepared to order and cooked or baked fresh from our menu that changes weekly. The cook’s responsibilities include multitasking while working the line, food preparation and learning multiple weekly menu items.
The successful candidates will have previous kitchen experience and a keen interest to learn. Skills required include cooking, entrée plating, ability to read and interpret a recipe, maintaining inventory levels, and familiarity with restaurant equipment, ie.
flattop grill, fryer, slicer, and POS system.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to work as a team member and independently are essential. Cooks are also expected to clean, setup and teardown their station daily, including sweeping and waste removal.
