$26-32 per hour

Job Summary

You will work collaboratively within our team to assist clients in returning to work and improving their quality of life. You will be involved in active rehabilitation programs, utilizing your knowledge of disability and rehabilitation, as well as the psychosocial aspects associated with them.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Supervise and support clients in exercise, stretching, and work simulation programs.
• Handle administrative duties related to program operations.
• Coordinate maintenance of gym equipment with the Rehab Services Manager.
• Conduct on-site Job Site Visits/Return to Work planning.
• Develop and monitor Gradual Return to Work (GRTW) plans.
• Communicate with referral sources and schedule client appointments.
• Provide education to community and professional organizations as needed.
• Review medical files and conduct client interviews to gather relevant occupational and health information.
• Perform functional assessments to identify return-to-work barriers.
• Write reports and maintain weekly program notes documenting client progress.
• Provide client orientation to the facility and program.
• Develop and progress rehabilitation plans in collaboration with team members.
• Offer one-on-one assistance to clients requiring individualized attention.
• Supervise gym operations to ensure safety.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver coordinated client care.
• Develop home exercise programs for discharged clients.

Qualifications and Skills

• At least 1 year as a Kinesiologist or Occupational Therapist or Physiotherapist within a similar responsible role and in a related type of work setting
• Member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists (BCAK) or the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia (CHCPBC)
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Experience with concussion management, knowledge of psychosocial rehabilitation aspects.
• May be required to travel within the Lower Mainland.
