Job descriptionExecution of pipeline engineering scope for assigned projects Pipeline alignment & crossing engineering drawing content and professional sealing of such drawings Review and approval of final pipeline routing analysis report including participation in routing process Preparation and content of pipeline materials and equipment specifications, particularly for Design Basis Memoranda Review of materials, equipment, and services technical bid submissions Review of pipeline hydraulic studies and related pipeline schematics Coordinate project pipeline engineering team and liaise with project pipeline drafting team Coordinate activities of pipeline group with other project disciplines Work with and mentor junior engineering and other technical staff in the pipeline discipline Ensure compliance with project plan and procedures Implement corporate quality and safety standards into the projects Assist with the preparation of engineering work scope and cost estimations when required Be familiar with industry standard quality systems and principles Be familiar with industry standard safety systems and principles Be familiar with and apply corporate policies and procedures and ensure compliance with same P. Eng. – Mechanical Engineering degree preferred. Minimum 4 -10 years of pipeline design experience Work in the downstream oil and gas industry, particularly in Western Canada Familiar with CSA Z662 and ASME B31.4 and 31.8 codes and related standards Experience with Canadian jurisdictions and their various acts and regulations
