About the Program
The Teacher Mentors (TM) will provide guidance, support and mentorship to teachers at a specified BUI centre. They will also be responsible for providing administrative support to the teachers in collaboration with the centre's Leadership Team.
About the Role
In this role, Teacher Mentors will :
- Build professional relationships and provide support to all teachers.
- Assist and support teachers as they build relationships with their students and their families.
- Facilitate forums for opportunities to share best practices at the local centre.
- Offer support when required to assist teachers with weekly lesson planning and model lessons for teachers as part of ongoing mentorship.
- Provide constructive feedback to teachers for continuous development and assist with overall classroom management.
- Conduct needs assessments for the different classrooms to ensure alignment between requiremnts and support provided.
- Attend meetings and collaborate with all members of the centre's Leadership team.
- Help identify materials required for weekly lessons.
- Share weekly communication with all teachers and centre Leadership Team on pertinent inforormation
- Participate and assist in the facilitation of Professional Development Sessions for teachers.
About You
We are looking for members of the Jamat who are trained as teachers who can bring their professional background and knowledge to our various BUI centres. Training will be provided.
