Altis Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled and resourceful HR Consultant to join our client for a short-term engagement (3-5 months) in the healthcare field. This role is a full-time onsite opportunity and you must be fully bilingual (French and English) . In this role, you will play a pivotal part in establishing a cost-effective, organized, and self-sufficient HR department that supports rapid business scaling. You will implement and enhance HR processes, improve communication strategies, provide coaching to managers, and oversee change management initiatives. This role will focus on key HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, performance management, training, and employee engagement.
Roles and Responsibilities
HR Process Development and Implementation :
- Review and modify current HR processes to ensure alignment with organizational goals and secure buy-in from managers.
- Develop and implement HR strategies to support recruitment, onboarding, offboarding, and talent retention initiatives.
Recruitment Support :
Guide managers on effective candidate selection, interview techniques, and general recruitment organization.Be available to assist managers throughout the recruitment period and coach them on established processes.Onboarding and Offboarding :
Establish comprehensive onboarding plans, including welcome packages, desk assignments, buddy programs, and cross-shadowing opportunities for virtual and onsite hires.Oversee offboarding processes, such as access revocation, succession planning, and clearance protocols.Performance Review Management :
Assist the COO in creating and launching a new performance review system.Train directors and managers on setting SMART goals, defining job-specific core competencies, and conducting effective one-on-one meetings.Support managers in launching and tracking performance review processes.Training and Development :
Assist the COO in launching Learning and other learning platforms, providing training to managers on monitoring and tracking employee progress.Facilitate executive coaching and leadership training in collaboration with the COO.Employee Engagement and Satisfaction :
Partner with the COO to design and implement an Engagement and Satisfaction Survey for staff.Explore recognition and reward programs, including tokens of appreciation and team-building activities.Communication Strategy Enhancement :
Develop and implement strategies to improve communication between executives, directors, and employees.Train managers and directors on how to effectively address complaints, report incidents, and follow up on employee concerns.Committees and Compliance :
Assist with the creation and training of Health and Safety committees, ensuring members understand all relevant processes and guidelines.Special Projects :
Support the Director of Business Development in launching campaignsAssist with other key HR projects as needed.Qualifications and Skills
Minimum of 5 years of experience in human resources or organizational development, with a focus on process improvement, training, and change management.Demonstrated ability to coach managers and directors to implement HR processes effectively.Strong background in recruitment, onboarding, and performance management.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster collaboration and alignment across all levels of the organization.Proven track record of managing change initiatives and enhancing organizational communication strategies.Experience with engagement surveys, recognition programs, and fostering employee satisfaction is an asset.Knowledge of health and safety compliance and committee training is preferred.Fully bilingual (French and English) is a requirementEducation
