What’s involved in this role

Supervise, plan, and carry out assigned process and / or product development projects.

Conduct research and development activities to create new food products or improve existing ones.

Conduct product trials, run development samples, and create initial product specifications; providing or sourcing information (product characteristics, costs, measurements, ingredients, etc.).

Participate in product sensory trials using internal and external panels.

Apply corporate R&D policies and procedures.

Identify new technologies of relevance for the organization.

Identify and act on opportunities to reduce costs or optimize the performance of our products and processes.

Act as a technical resource to internal and external stakeholders.

Ensure liaison and collaboration with raw manufacturing plants to resolve issues and / or complaints.

Help analyze information to support the development of new products.

Ensure compliance with laws and regulations in coordination with Regulatory.

Other related duties as assigned or required.

What you need to join our team

A.Sc. in Food Science, Food engineering or a related Science discipline

3+ years of experience in R&D or product development for a food manufacturer, preferably in dairy food

Willingness to travel as required

Flexibility to work irregular hours when required

Proficient in Excel and other Microsoft programs

Fluency in English, written and spoken
