The Collection Analyst is responsible for communicating with customers and internal staff to analyze credit information, solve problems, and ensure the timely payment of invoices.  Responsibilities :

• Perform collections activities (approximately 80% of the role) and credit analysis (approximately 20%).
• Ability to handle a portfolio size of $20million.
• Analyze the paying habits of accounts that are delinquent.
• Daily follow up on delinquent customers via email and phone calls.
• Analyze company credit experiences for new applications
• Evaluate customer records and recommend credit limit changes or strategies on how to clear past due items on the account.
• Reconcile accounts when customers have short paid invoices due to credit notes such as pricing, Unapplied cash, returns or tax adjustments.
• Posting of AR cheques when needed.   Skills & Qualifications :
• Collection experience in the related industry is preferred
• Get Paid knowledge is preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook) is required
• Prior knowledge of Versa Pay & AS400 is an asset
• Problem-solving skills, interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
