Brandt is currently seeking Heavy Equipment Technicians for our Brossard Construction & Forestry location.This position is responsible for performing basic / complex diagnostics, service maintenance and repair work on customer and / or dealer-owned equipment on an efficient basis.
Note : This position is for the evening shift (3 : 00 PM - 11 : 00 PM). Duties and ResponsibilitiesEfficiently and effectively evaluate the working condition of, diagnose, assemble / disassemble, order parts for, and repair heavy duty equipmentUse secondary materials and equipment safely and efficientlyUse related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systemsAccurately and completely document on work orders all machine information, actions taken, and time takenContinually assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely, and to accepted standardsUse computer applications and information systems (i.
e. John Deere Service Advisor) to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosisUse parts catalogues to locate parts, and order parts from parts personnelRoad test equipment and check attachment operation as requiredRequired SkillsOutstanding knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
Proven computer and technical aptitude and knowledge for diagnostics and calibration work.Strong time-management skills to perform effectively under pressure.
Strong communication skills, showing an appreciation of customer needs.Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues.
A commitment to high quality customer service with a strong people orientation.Must be able to lift up to 50 poundsRequired ExperienceDemonstrated diagnostic skills to understand mechanical and technical equipment repair needs.
