Ecolab is currently seeking candidates for an Application Specialist role to support the Nalco Water Downstream business in Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan, AB. What You Will Do
Provide routine service support to Sales Representatives in strategic district accounts to execute agreed‑upon customer system assurance and continuous improvement plans.Assist Sales Representatives with plant surveys of prospective customers.Assist Sales Representatives with start‑ups of new applications in existing and new customers.Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders in the strategic district accounts.Provide technical support to customers, identifying and resolving pain points and escalating as required.Engage in problem‑solving by performing system analysis, interpreting data and providing written recommendations.Support services including sample testing, light maintenance, customer service, service report generation, chemical ordering, chemical inventory management, and general labor activities.Actively support innovations and technology in the strategic district accounts.Position Details
Territory includes travel in the Edmonton and Fort Saskatchewan areas with daily on‑site customer support.Some overnight travel may be required.Minimum Qualifications
Post‑secondary diploma and related industry experience.Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record.Ability to travel to the U.S. for training / meetings.No immigration sponsorship is available for this position.Physical Demands
Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 55 pounds chest high.Preferred Qualifications
Post‑secondary diploma or degree in engineering or chemical technology.Strong mechanical aptitude.Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office, and ability to learn internal business systems.Excellent communication skills, strong work ethic, and multitasking ability.Experience in oil and gas industry preferred.Previous refinery / petrochemical experience.Water treatment or specialty chemical industry experience.Our Commitment to a Culture of Inclusion & Belonging
