Job description

Professional Team Leader at Manpower Alberta

What you will do :

Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of all electrical and associated equipment such as valves, motors, turbines and / or PD meters, sampling systems, relief systems, and other electrical devices.
Coordinate activities with Supervisors, Planners / Schedulers, Mechanical Technicians, Electricians Technicians, CCO, Regional Support, contractors, and PLM to plan, schedule, and complete all work safely and efficiently.
Ensure all maintenance work aligns with regulations and company Operation & Maintenance (O&M) procedure requirements.
Be on call as required for emergency responses and maintenance.
Complete and stay current on all required safety and technical training.
Maintain facility records and update drawings as necessary.
Adhere to all company policies.

Who you are :

High School Diploma or equivalent experience and Journeyperson Electrical with provincial or interprovincial certification. An instrumentation background is an asset.

2 to 5 years of experience in an industrial field.

Proven strong work ethic, good computer skills, a willingness to learn, and a positive team attitude.

Adherence to fundamental principles of safety, integrity, respect, inclusion and high performance.

Working Conditions :

Work an Alternative Work Schedule : 9 / 80 (44 hours : Monday to Thursday 9 hours / day, Friday 1 : Off, Friday 2 : 8 hours).

A mix of field (~80%) and office (~20%) environments.

Work on and around high voltage equipment, transformers, disconnects, switchgear, motor control centers, electrical service buildings, etc.

Operate in hazardous or restricted locations such as pump rooms, confined spaces, tank lots, and classified areas within the yard and ROW.

Travel and on-call responsibilities for assigned areas and stations.

Capable of performing outdoor duties in various weather conditions, handling physically challenging responsibilities such as standing, sitting, bending, walking, crouching, and repetitively lifting up to 50lbs.
