Position Summary

The Material Handler will maintain designated functions within the Production and / or Machine Shop team. Tasks include receiving shipments, processing inter-branch transfers, cycle counting, order picking, kitting, shipping, customs documentation, and other duties or assignments as delegated.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely meeting De Havilland Canada company policies, procedures, and customer quality requirements relating to all Stores functions
• Adhering to all regulatory and governing guidelines & manuals for handling, processing, and shipping materials
• Responsible for the efficient operation of any specific stores section, including tool crib, as well as shipping and receiving
• Assisting with the setup of periodic checking of physical inventory
• Required to pack, ship, and receive all materials pertaining to the company and maintain all required records of material movements – this includes the issuing and raising of company packing slips, and maintaining records of all serialized components being shipped or received
• Responsible for maintaining all the required records for international shipments including customs documentation
• Responsible for the delivery, receipt and security of materials
• Picking & issuing materials to corresponding orders
• Verifying orders
• Safely operate a stand‑up reach truck and / or counterbalance forklift.
• Safely handle manual pallet jack, carts, ladders, stair ladders, and other equipment within the warehouse (MHE).
• Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision.
• Complete any other duties or assignments as delegated by lead hand and / or manager.
