Job description

Job Title : Interiors Systems Engineer Integrator

Location : Montreal

Employment Type : Full-Time, Contract (6+ months)

About the Role :

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Systems Engineer to join our Interiors and Passenger Systems team. In this role, you will contribute to the design, integration, and testing of cabin and passenger systems for an advanced aerospace program. You will work collaboratively with internal teams, external suppliers, and subject matter experts to validate and verify requirements, ensuring the highest standards of safety, functionality, and performance.

Responsibilities :

  • Collaborate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful integration of cabin components into the overall system
  • Create and manage requirement specifications, interface control documents, design descriptions, and vendor specifications for mechanical integration of interior systems, including ECS (Environmental Control Systems) and cabin media components such as displays, intercoms, speakers, and microphones.
  • Decompose high-level requirements into actionable, testable specifications for hardware and software integration across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
  • Define, manage, and coordinate certification plans and testing requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with systems engineers and subject matter experts to design and maintain aircraft-level architecture and interfaces.
  • Utilize CAD tools, such as NX, to review and validate mechanical design models, ensuring compliance with system-level requirements.
  • Adapt to fast-paced aerospace development environments, demonstrating the ability to work independently and manage ambiguity.

Requirements :

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering ( aerospace, mechanical, automotive, or related field).
  • 5+ years of experience in developing and testing aircraft or automotive systems, including requirements validation and verification.
  • Proven ability to maintain complete system architecture from concept definition through to entry into service.
  • Experience managing supplier and vendor relationships.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional team engagement.
  • Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo.
  • Familiarity with validation and verification processes for aircraft or automotive systems.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in aerospace or a related engineering field.
  • 10+ years of experience in developing aircraft systems, from requirements to certification.
  • Knowledge of ARP4754A and ARP4761 standards.
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and technical specifications, including FAA standards.
  • Familiarity with software and hardware certification standards (DO-178C, DO-254, DO-160G).
