Job Description

AECOM Canada ULC is actively seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in Edmonton, AB. The successful candidate will design and analyze foundations, retaining structures, embankments, railways, highways, airports, excavation support systems, tunnels, and trenchless construction. This role offers the opportunity to work on major transportation, water resources, marine, civil infrastructure, and building projects while developing and growing our geotechnical practice in Western Canada.

• Work with diverse teams of engineers, designers, and drafters from conceptual design through preliminary and final design
• Mentor and train junior geotechnical engineers
• Manage projects and be responsible for completion on schedule and financial performance
• Resolve complex geotechnical issues
• Write, compile, and review geotechnical reports and proposals for major projects
• Prepare and present technical papers and contribute to advancement of earth science in our area of technical specialization
• Maintain quality throughout a project and implement improvements when determined
• Prepare project summary reports
• Encourage growth within the group and improve the general knowledge base throughout the company
• Develop and sustain long‑lasting business relationships with clients
• Be a role model and technical mentor for our staff
• Travel within Canada when required

Qualifications

Compensation

The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is CAD 120,000 to CAD 160,000 per year.
