Career Opportunity JUNIOR FINANCIAL ANALYST Internal / External Date of Appointment : May 4, 2026 - August 28, 2026 Reporting to : Controller of Business Services Job Description : This member of the Finance Department will : Be responsible for extracting, analyzing, reconciling and assisting in the interpretation of financial and other statistical data Complete assignments using knowledge of accounting principles and will review and analyze data and generate reports as required Responsibilities : Assist in conducting the yearly School-Generated Funds Audits Assist in the preparation of the financial analysis for internal and external reporting, Assist with financial projections and reporting Provide support and assist with Board budget process and preparation of related financial reports Review and analyze Board budget and School Generated Fund accounts and transactions to ensure proper application of Board policies and procedures Assist in other areas of Corporate Services Other duties as assigned Qualifications : Applicants should possess Working towards a University degree in Business Administration with a focus on accounting and finance; Excellent communication, written and interpersonal skills; Strong financial and analytical skills for data evaluation and problem solving; high degree of financial accuracy and high attention to detail Knowledge of and proficient use of MS Office software (in particular Excel, Word and Access) Location : Father Kyran Kennedy Catholic Education Centre 90 Mulberry Street, Hamilton, Ontario, L8N 3R9 Hours of Work : 8 : 30 a.m. to 4 : 30 p.m. daily Salary : $20.00 / hour plus 4% vacation Last date for consideration : Friday February 20, 2026 at 4 : 00 pm Applicants shall submit a resume that outlines skills, abilities and qualifications, course documentation, letters of recommendation to Schools and administrative sites within the Hamilton-Wentworth Catholic District School Board (HWCDSB) give witness to the truth that Jesus Christ is the foundation and the heart of Catholic Education and the centre of its community.
