Reporting to the Chief People Officer (CPO), the Manager, HR Systems and Strategy is a strong leader who provides direction and management of HSO’s HR information system, overseeing all Human Resources reporting functions including headcount planning, budgeting, forecasting, business unit support for talent acquisition, career development, employee experience, learning and development and all management reporting.

As a member of the Talent Management team, you are a proven leader who enjoys unlocking new ways of leveraging technology and AI for existing and new initiatives for the purpose of freeing up capacity for strategic work.
You will guide and develop a small and highly effective team and bring a track record of success in facilitating systems optimization and change through effective teamwork and decision making.
Your advanced analytical abilities will enable you to share insights with the CPO and support HSO’s People strategy development and execution.
Let’s break it down. Your responsibilities include :
- Lead the HR systems planning and analysis function as an HR business partner and primary support to the CPO on capturing key strategy, talent retention and acquisition, benchmarking, business readiness, data readiness, technology implementation, business transformation, ongoing maintenance and optimization initiatives.
- Monitor workforce performance, establish corrective measures as needed, and prepare detailed reports for the CPO and Enterprise Leadership.
- Take ownership for all functions related to HR information system and headcount planning.
- Oversee the day-to-day reporting, forecasting, analysis and internal-control activities of the organization.
- Analyze internal operations and identify areas for optimization.
- Oversee HR systems and lead the team, ensuring compliance with relevant regulatory entities.
- Conduct research and produce regular, accurate periodic reports to the CPO as required.
- Acts as a key advisor to the CPO, you assist the CPO and Enterprise leadership in strategy development and preparation of budget guidelines.
- Proactively review departmental forecasts and headcount budget submissions to ensure quality control; consolidate team headcount and provide regular summaries to the CPO and Enterprise Leadership.
- Adaptable; flexible team player that can wear several hats and support team as needed.
HRMS Management (Dayforce) :
- Oversee the execution of HR processes in Dayforce including accurate and timely management of data entry for new hires, changes, departures, etc.
- Collaborate with the Payroll and Benefits team to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll and benefits administration within a bi-weekly payroll schedule.
- Oversee the implementation and administration of all Dayforce modules in collaboration with relevant parties in the HR team and other business units.
- Facilitate and enable the Talent Associate’s responsibilities for the administration of the Performance and Compensation modules under the direction of the Director of Talent.
System configuration and maintenance :
- Manage the configuration, maintenance and operation of Dayforce modules in support of HR programs and priorities.
- Manage system implementations in accordance with business needs and objectives.
- Identify and act on opportunities to improve data integrity, system functionality and user adoption.
- Evaluate the system and scheduled releases / updates on an ongoing basis to ensure functionality achieves requirements.
- Ensure appropriate system controls are in place to meet compliance and best practices.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of HR operations processes and procedures including related documentation.
- Identify and address opportunities to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and accuracy of key processes or programs from a HR systems lens.
- Develop Standard Operating procedures (SOP’s) for streamlined operations.
Team management :
- Lead and develop direct reports to drive performance and engagement while role modelling HSO values.
- Develop core capabilities within the team to support delivery of team objectives.
- Provide guidance to the team on HR-wide projects / initiatives to ensure key system processes enable success.
Must Have Qualifications
- University Degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
- Completion of a professional designation is an asset.
- 5+ years of HR related experience.
- Strong leadership skills with a proven ability to manage and develop teams. Ability to mentor, teach and train.
- Great presentation skills and acuity for outstanding visual presentations and layouts
- Advanced reporting software knowledge such as Ceridian (Dayforce & Powerpay), SAP (SuccessFactor), ADP Workforce,MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word) and Google Suite.
Desired Qualifications
- Have people management experience.
- Have experience engaging with stakeholders on your HR technology vision to ensure leaders have confidence in and patience with technology transformation.
- Have experience building an implementation plan and communicating it to relevant stakeholders to ensure visibility and alignment.
