Summary :
Ourclient has an exciting opportunity for a Tax Specialist. Reportingto the Controller the successful candidate will be responsible fortechnical analysis in all areas of tax with a focus on domestic andglobal tax consequences.
As a key member of the Corporate Financeteam the individual will also oversee the companys insurance plansand international tax audits.
Responsibilities
Prepareand review complex Canadian and multistate corporate tax returns.
Review tax filings prepared by an outsideservice provider to ensure the accurate reporting of incometaxes.
Preparing quarterlyestimated tax payment requirements and filings.
Process extensions tax returnsand tax payment requisitions.
Apply knowledge to understand complex tax issues and recognize andcommunicate potential risks and potential changes in the taxpolicies.
Research complicatedtax law and accounting principles and draft and / or review technicalmemos or outlines.
Qualifications
Ableto analyze interpret and apply accounting rules tax laws rulingsand courtdecisions.
4years of corporate income tax compliance and provisionexperience.
Experience using Microsoft OfficeSuite.
Bachelor s Degreein Accounting Tax or Finance.
