What You'll Do;
As a Retail Inventory Analyst with Sporting Life & Team Sports, you will support the Senior Inventory Control Manager to ensure the integrity and accuracy of inventory data across all systems, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) for our stores.

To support our growth plans, we have created this new role in our team to ensure the successful execution of organizational processes over inventory by managing our inventory accuracy through daily monitoring and completion of inventory adjustments and reconciliations.

Drawing on your knowledge and understanding of retail Inventory management, you will continuously develop our inventory dashboard to effectively communicate with our leadership team on daily, weekly and / or monthly basis.
Oversee daily and monthly inventory reconciliations between internal systems (D365, data warehouse) and external sources. Ensure timely and accurate inventory adjustments, journal entries, and allocations to correct GL accounts.Support monthly shrink reserve preparation and investigate inventory variances, aged in-transit discrepancies, and cost anomalies in collaboration with Finance and the Senior Inventory Control Manager.Coordinate and execute physical inventory counts. Reconcile results with teams, validate and post adjustments, and summarise findings for business leaders and Regional Managers.Prepare and review inventory reports to support data-driven decisions. Monitor inventory-related transactions across all channels (stores, e-commerce, 3PL, special orders, etc.) and contribute to forecasts and budgets.Liaise with A / P, Supply Chain, Retail Operations, and Finance to resolve inventory exceptions, unmatched invoices, GRNI issues, and support external audits and special projects (e.g., inventory taskforce).Process Improvement & Training : Promote best practices across Store and DC Inventory Control processes. Mentor retail teams, enhance compliance, and support operational changes for inventory movements, shipping / receiving, returns, and special inventory programs.What You'll Bring;
