Research Assistant
Job Summary
Reporting to the Principal Investigator, the Research Assistant will support research activities related to lung health and will also contribute to general research activities and support the PI across multiple projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development of documentation for research ethics applications.
- Prepare and verify the source documentation and complete electronic Case Report Forms (eCRF).
- Carry out data entry, conduct literature reviews and critical appraisal of relevant research.
- Perform administrative duties including, coordinating meetings, preparing documentation for meetings taking meeting minutes.
- Prepare datasets, conducts analyses, and format results.
- Contribute to report and manuscript writing.
Note
Due to operational requirements, the successful applicant is required to work in-person on campus.
Required Qualifications
- Undergraduate’s degree in health or social sciences, with2 years related research experience
- Excellent organizational skills, time management skills, and effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to analyze and synthesize information to inform research reports, proactively provide input, and coordinate and organize work.
- Ability to work independently, as well as part of multidisciplinary team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, etc.
- Demonstrated experience working with quantitative data analysis and statistical software programs such as Stata, R, SAS.
Assets
- Master’s degree in epidemiology, statistics, health or social sciences, with related research experience
- Previous work experience with respiratory outcomes data.
