Position Title : Lead Business Systems Analyst, Enterprise Platforms Reports To : Technology Manager, Enterprise Platforms
Department : IT Corporate Services Term : Permanent Full-Time
Work Arrangements : This is a hybrid role. You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month.
You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.
The Opportunity : We are seeking a highly motivated Lead Business Systems Analyst to join our Enterprise Content Management IT team! In this role, the successful candidate will be a highly analytical specialist, responsible for both business and technical analysis, focused on bringing efficiency and business value to various business teams.
They will also be responsible for the overall delivery of Non-Discretionary Production Support Incident Resolution, and management of incoming Discretionary Enhancement Requests supporting Equitable capture, imaging and workflow applications across the Enterprise of business teams (Individual, Group, S&R and Corporate).

What you will be doing :
- Request Management responsibilities include the following :
- Partnering with business leaders to understand overall priorities across the line of business enhancement requests
- Managing a schedule of key enhancement initiatives and implementations
- Ensuring self-service reporting of all enhancement request work is provided to the lines of business
- Responsible to solicit pertinent information regarding a request for the purposes of assessing risks associated to the release or change
- Project Delivery responsibilities include the following :
- Provide systems analysis, problem solving and translate business requirements into functional solution specifications for larger complex ECM and cross system projects
- Conduct reviews and provide feedback on functional solution specifications, system flow charts, diagrams and technical architecture documents prepared by BSA's on the team
- Perform quality assurance testing, including creation and execution of test strategies, test plans and test cases and defect management, to ensure solution quality and functional acceptability
- Production Support responsibilities include the following :
- With a combined customer service, analytical, and technical focus, this role will drive the daily production support operations and activities for the ECM support team
- Overall, Team Lead responsibilities :
- Provide technical, task and functional direction to the production support analysts (BSA's and Developers). This includes technical and non-technical : prioritization and resource assignment;
operational process management; estimation and allocations; technical mentoring, growth, and development; and escalation management, quality assurance and controls.
- Mentoring operational team members for growth and development. Supporting the Manager, they will also contribute to performance assessments of team members and actively participate in interviewing and onboarding.

What you will bring :
- 8+ years of experience in Business Systems Analyst role.
- Strong to expert knowledge and experience writing functional requirements, use cases and process flows
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to lead the delivery of complex solutions in a fast-paced environment
- High attention to detail and desire for quality. Ability to expertly manage time and juggle multiple priorities to execute high quality deliverables.
- Solid operational support leadership skills, including partnering with ECM IT team in troubleshooting system health and communicating effectivity with business and other IT partners to define and resolve issues
- Strong to expert knowledge and experience with Enterprise Workflow, case and queue management or automation solutions.
Note : experience with Hyland's OnBase and WorkView technologies would be an asset
- Outstanding communications (written, verbal, presentation) and negotiation skills and experience with conveying complex, technical information to non-technical audiences
- Expert interpersonal skills in order to effectively mentor and coach staff with respect to IT service issues, technologies, processes and considerations
- Strong experience with resource management as it pertains to scheduling, project execution and daily operations.
- An outstanding team player, focused on customer service excellence, technical execution, diligence to the process, and doing the right thing
- Team-oriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment. Strong interpersonal and partnership building skills;
can reach out and engage a variety of individuals
- Expert knowledge of and experience with ITIL IT service management processes. Should have specific experience working within Incident, Problem, Change, SLM, and Service Desk competencies
- In-depth understanding of application infrastructure, database and technical platforms
- Experience and / or proficient in many of the following :
- Content management and workflow concepts
- Web and client / server architectures
- Knowledge of database design
- Test Management tools (QC, ALM, Jira)
- MS Office Tools including Microsoft Access and Visio
- Working knowledge of SQL, DB2, C#, .Net and SOAP or REST APIs
- Knowledge and Experience with Agile, Scrum, Kanban
- Exposure to CI / DevOps
- Code analysis for the purpose of understanding system functionality
- University degree and / or a combination of equivalent technical education and working experience.
