English Copywriter
As an English Copywriter, you will be responsible for creating compelling and engaging content that resonates with our target audience and drives traffic to our website.
You will work with the Creative Content & Communications Manager and team to develop and implement content strategies that improve our online visibility and search engine rankings.
Your role will involve writing a variety of content, including email campaigns, SEO descriptions, blog articles, social media posts, and more.
Job Description
Write clear, persuasive, original copy for various marketing channels (website and print).
Write / brief emails and landing pages to guide engaging content creation.
Create a strategy to ensure copy consistency across all products and marketing materials.
Produce creative content, including blog articles, that engage and inform our audience.
Execute marketing copywriting tasks for various campaigns and initiatives.
Develop SEO-friendly content to increase organic search visibility and drive website traffic.
Conduct keyword research and use SEO best practices to optimize content.
Edit and proofread copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
Stay current with industry trends and continuously seek ways to improve content effectiveness.
French-to-English translation of various content as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, English Literature, Journalism, or a related field.
2-3 years of experience in English copywriting, an asset if in retail space.
Proven experience in SEO writing and understanding of SEO best practices.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Detail-oriented with strong editing and proofreading abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with content management systems (CMS) and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush).
Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for content.
Understanding of blog writing and ability to create engaging articles using backlinks.
A portfolio showcasing a variety of writing samples, including web content, blogs, and SEO, may be requested.
