Job Description
We are on the lookout for a talented Project Planner to join our team in Saskatoon . Your responsibilities will vary by project and may include, but will not be limited to :
- Site planning and development feasibility analysis
- Research, analysis, and report writing
- Economic, physical, and social analysis to support planning recommendations
- Drafting policy and regulatory documents
- Supporting public and stakeholder engagement activities
- Preparing statutory plans such as Official Community Plans, Municipal Development Plans, and Sector, Neighbourhood, or Area Structure Plans
- Preparing non-statutory planning documents including concept plans, comprehensive development reviews, and outline plans
- Subdivision design and site planning, including development, discretionary use, and rezoning applications
- Preparing and delivering presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Collaborating with planning, engineering, and environmental colleagues to deliver high-quality work
Job Requirements
What you will bring :
Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or a related disciplineMinimum two years of relevant planning experience in the public or private sectorExperience in core planning work, including site planning, development feasibility, subdivision design, analysis, and policy and regulatory documentsRegistered Professional Planner (RPP) designation or eligibility for RPP in Saskatchewan is an assetFamiliarity with land use policy in SaskatchewanExperience with planning tools and technologies such as GIS and / or AutoCAD; SketchUp modelling is an assetCollaborative and proactive team player, able to manage workload and meet deadlinesStrong written and verbal communication skills, including supporting public and stakeholder engagementValid Class 5 driver's license and willingness to travel within Saskatchewan and occasionally Alberta and British ColumbiaEveryone has their own unique talents, skills, and background.
