JOIN OUR TEAM AS A CASUAL DETENTION GUARD

Location :  Golden Detachment

Shift Times :  Will be on a as needed basis - Days, Evenings, and Overnights

Pay Rate :  Starting at $22 / hr

Position Summary

Commissionaires BC is seeking dedicated and reliable individuals to join our team as a Casual Detention Guard at the Golden RCMP detachment. Under the guidance of the RCMP Members responsible for Cell Block Operations, you will be entrusted with the safety and well-being of persons in custody, along with other key duties.

Important :  Applicants must reside within a 60-minute drive of the detachment.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Surveillance :  Regularly observe and check prisoners, including monitoring via CCTV.
• Assistance :  Aid RCMP members as required and manage meal organization.
• Record Keeping :  Maintain a detailed prisoner activity logbook.
• Cell Maintenance :  Ensure cleanliness of cells and conduct searches before and after occupation, reporting any damage.
• Security :  Maintain cellblock security, ensuring cell doors are always locked and personal effects are secured.
• Fire Safety :  Monitor and adhere to fire safety protocols.
• Medical and Laundry :  Handle and dispense approved medications and laundry items under direction of RCMP members.
• Miscellaneous :  Perform additional duties as required by the detachment.
