Job description
  • Deliver an employment program working within a team environment that helps a diverse population reach their employment goals and live up to their potential. Work within the parameters of program policy,
  • Assist participants in developing a broad range of skills and knowledge to participate successfully in the current and future labour force.
  • Training in resume writing, cover letter, interview skills, online application processes, confidence building, self-development and other important skill sets to help them succeed.
  • Assess employment needs and identify goals
  • Build a collaborative relationship with the job seeker and develop a plan to address the needs and meet the goals. Work one-on-one and in group cohort settings.
  • Deliver life skills, workshops & employment training through blended service delivery (both in-person and virtually)
  • Coordinate & book training and/or tickets participants require to reach employment goals
  • Report writing
  • Support Job developer and employment coaches and participants during their job search, work experience placement and follow-up phases
  • Coordinate and communicate with other agencies and providers
  • Reporting directly to Regional Manager

  • Classroom or workshop management skills
  • Curriculum, seminars or workshop development experience and/or knowledge
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills including conflict resolution
  • Education or work experience related to working with individuals who have diverse needs and backgrounds. Preference to candidates with Career Development Practitioner training.
  • Documentation and report writing skills
  • Strong computer skills including ability to utilize databases and various technologies for communication and presentation purposes
  • Experience using video conferencing software and delivering workshops face to face and virtually
  • Good organizational skills & attention to detail
  • Preference for applicants with own vehicle and Class 5 License
  • A Criminal Records check is mandatory for successful applicant
