Class II Clerk - MGEU
This is a full-time, 10-month term position to June 30, 2026.
Under the direction and supervision of the PCERC Building Manager and the Education Resource Centre Administrative Assistant, the successful incumbent will provide clerical support to Professional Support Services (PSS), divisional staff and to the Centre. The clerk has additional responsibilities as a member of the on-site technical team supporting divisional PD offered at PCERC.
Responsibilities may include but are not limited to :
- Provides clerical assistance to a number WSD centralized support teachers; WSD sports convenor, Phys. Ed teacher and French Immersion Director. This includes the preparation of reports, notices, flyers, brochures, schedules, correspondence, etc.
- Maintains various databases (Google Docs, Excel, Word, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Office, Onedrive etc.)
- Provides clerical support such as work processing / desktop publishing
- Photocopies, collates, staples and mails / distributes material as requested
- Provides support to WSD Tutoring Services
- Receives and distributes WSD / courier mail, Canada Post mail, deliveries, and arranges for special courier deliveries
- Working collaboratively with the PCERC & LSS technical support team to set-up meeting rooms
- Works collaboratively with other clerical and WSD staff
- Coverage of PCERC switchboard as required, provides callers with routine information
- Experience with large scale WSD divisional events such as : WSD Science Fair, WSD PowWow, Destination Imagination etc.
- Maintain schedule and keeps records for loaning out of physical education equipment, orders couriers and follows up to ensure items are returned to PCERC
- Maintains PCERC office supplies, including photocopier paper and laminating supplies
- At the beginning of every month calculates and extends laminating charges to the various schools
- Other duties as required
Qualifications :
Completion of formal training in applied office skills with 1 - 2 years of office experience and coursework / training relevant to this positionProficient in Microsoft Office Word and Excel at intermediate level is requiredTyping speed of 40 wpm is requiredFluency in French is requiredExperience with MAYET, Solarwinds and knowledge of divisional software would be considered an assetAbility to prioritize a large workload and independently complete a variety of secretarial dutiesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and work effectively under pressure to meet deadlinesDemonstrated problem-solving skillsDemonstrated ability to effectively contribute to a team environmentAbility to maintain a high level of confidentialityDedication to anti-racism, equity, and diversityProven commitment to Truth and ReconciliationProven ability to build collaborated cultures founded on integrity and collective purposeHow to apply :
