Production Supervisor

CGC Inc. is currently recruiting a Production Supervisor for our Joint Treatment manufacturing plant, based in Surrey, British Columbia.

It's a permanent and full-time position, offering a challenging opportunity for a motivated individual to demonstrate their leadership and production experience within a large corporation.

Duties and responsibilities of the Production Supervisor include :

  • Provide first-line supervisor oversight to daily operations, including direct reports on the shift / crew.
  • Incorporate safety into all aspects of the operation and ensure that safe working conditions, actions and practices exist and are always followed.
  • Proven technical aptitude necessary to provide guidance to employees in the performance of their duties.
  • Achieve high levels of efficiency in the use of equipment, machinery, raw materials and labour.
  • Lead role in training and developing of assigned employees in the skills needed to achieve key performance metrics.
  • Able to build rapport with employees through effective communication and engagement efforts.
  • Must be willing to uphold and enforce company policies and procedures in a fair and consistent manner.

Qualifications :

  • Prior manufacturing leadership experience with batch processing is an asset.
  • Business-minded, people and results oriented, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to coach employees to improved levels of performance.
  • Self-starter, excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated leadership potential including personal accountability, decision-making and problem-solving capability.
  • Ability to develop relationships in a diverse workforce environment by prioritizing coaching and engagement.
  • Safety-first mentality.
  • Proficient in required computer-based applications and diligent oversight of assigned administrative and record-keeping tasks.
  • Takes initiative to make continuous improvements using Lean Tools such as A3s, 5s and standard work.
