Job Title Project Manager - Corridors (Supporting the GO Expansion Program) Location Toronto, ON CA (Primary) Category Construction Management, Design, Engineering, Project Management Job Type Full-time Job Responsibilities (Internal Title : Project Management IV) Support the Corridor Lead in leading a major multi-disciplinary team of engineering managers, project managers, and deputy project managers, including other specialists as the rise occurs Manage and oversee the entirety of projects valued between $ - million, ensuring successful initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure Safety leader across all project delivery works A proactive approach to engaging with the various Project Delivery Teams (PDTs) Must understand key performance indicator monitoring and engagement, directly linked to monthly measurement criteria established Must understand resource management, interface, and constraints management Able to manage activities with significant uncertainty of solution or outcome Must be capable of supporting the Project Controls Centre and team to maintain up-to-date metrics on performance across the entire program Recommends and initiates change to project delivery plans, and identifies areas of improvement to put forward to relevant areas in business and operating processes Interacts with clients and other stakeholders to ensure that objectives are being met Manages external relationships important for project delivery (e.g., statutory authorities) Builds and maintains networks with peer project teams and other disciplines Supports the development and delivery of implementation plans, establishing commercially beneficial delivery models and leading on innovation and best practice Supports leadership and direction in the Construction and Project Delivery team, delivers timely feedback to ensure a cohesive operational unit and the optimum use of team skills Lead by example to inspire the team within the program team Monitors work assignments for adherence to timelines and compliance with policies and processes Develop and implement action plans to address performance gaps Leads high-performing, multi-disciplined teams The ability to lead, engage, motivate, and coach others. To act as a role model and inspire and empower others Support negotiations with third parties Articulate a delivery vision and common culture Create the environment for the successful implementation of processes Creating and delivering persuasive and engaging presentations to a wide range of audiences in our industry Leads and strategizes collaboration model internally and externally Manages client relationships effectively Respectfully listens to others and considers all views presented Qualifications Required Education : Undergraduate Degree in pertinent field Licenses or Certifications : PMP® - Project Management Professional Experience : 12+ years of experience in project management Skills and Competencies : Sound project management expertise Sound knowledge of contract and commercial procedures Stays up to date with key industry or professional trends through networking and Continued Professional Development (CPD) Knowledge of BIM and ability to give advice to clients and articulate BIM strategy Proficiency in Microsoft Office Good problem-solving skills Proficiency in project management software Continue professional development in order to keep abreast of emerging technologies, methods, and best practices Highly organized and able to multitask Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Able to work independently and as part of a team Extensive understanding of prevailing project management methods Comtech Group Inc. is committed to providing accessible employment practices that comply with local legislative requirements.
