The Opportunity

We are looking for a business‑oriented actuary to handle the pricing for different products. You are more than a pricing actuary; you understand the demands of an external partner, as well as the ins‑and‑outs of price modelling. You provide excellent actuarial advice and influence decisions using analysis and data, and thrive in a fast‑moving environment where your opinion and experience are valued.

This position will also be responsible for providing statistical expertise, researching new pricing methods, and ensuring a smooth implementation of rating plans and algorithm changes across Canada. Additionally, you will be expected to provide actuarial expertise related to product design, corporate planning, and underwriting / segmentation analysis.

What You’ll Do

• Own actuarial methods and assumptions for pricing.
• Develop systems, processes, and methodologies for analyzing rates and products.
• Collaborate with business partners to deliver pricing strategies and changes.
• Mentor junior team members and act as a technical expert.
• Ensure products meet the Product Development and Management Standard and the Technical Pricing Standard.
• Gain deep knowledge of your assigned book of business and Canadian market trends to provide strategic insights.
