Summer Coordinator – Cowichan Community Centre
The Cowichan Valley Regional District (CVRD) is now accepting applications for the Summer Coordinator at the Cowichan Community Centre for summer 2026 in the South Cowichan Recreation Division. This is a great opportunity for those seeking experience in the recreation and childcare field.
Working under the supervision of the Recreation Programmer II, the Summer Coordinator coordinates and supports summer programming at the recreation centre and off‑site venues for children and youth ages 4‑18. The program includes an educational component to daily activities and promotes active, healthy lifestyles.

Employment Details
This position is available for 12 weeks, commencing 15 June 2026 and continuing until 4 September 2026, subject to enrolment and funding. Hours are 35 hours per week, Monday‑Friday. A unionised position (CUPE Local 358) and compensation at $31.58 per hour ($27.58 + 6% pay in lieu of benefits + 6% pay in lieu of vacation + 2.5% pay in lieu of statutory holidays). Opportunities to retain casual employment thereafter may be available.
