Our client, Boralex (TSX : BLX), is a major player in renewable energy, specializing in four sectors : wind, solar, hydroelectricity, and storage.

Founded over 30 years ago, the company develops, builds, and operates renewable energy production sites in Canada, France, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

With the future of the planet at heart, Boralex is actively participating in the fight against global warming, one project at a time.

Boralex is looking for a Director of Legal Affairs to join its team, which already includes six professionals in North America.

Based in their downtown Montreal offices and reporting to the Vice President, Legal Affairs for North America, you will assist and work closely with business leaders in the strategic positioning of various projects and in assessing the associated legal risks.

You’ll be involved in merger and acquisition transactions, tender processes, project financing, setting up large-scale partnerships with municipalities, aboriginal nations, and other relevant parties, as well as negotiating construction contracts and the purchase of wind turbines and other major equipment.

You will also serve as a point of contact with external lawyers in the relevant jurisdictions.

Are you interested in business law and the renewable energies sector? If you’re looking for a hands-on, business-oriented role, and want to join a dynamic, growing, and entrepreneurial team, we’d like to talk to you.

To qualify, you must be bilingual and a member of the Quebec Bar. Knowledge of the energy, construction, or infrastructure sectors will be considered an asset. Ref. : #33191.

This is a mandate entrusted exclusively to ZSA. CVs sent and contacts made with Boralex will be forwarded to ZSA for evaluation.
