Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including : experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.
About the role
We’re looking for a Category Manager, Procurement to join our growing national team!
What you’ll do here :
Develop sourcing strategies for business initiatives and commodities that support Intact’s innovation strategies.
Leverage effective market intelligence and cost modelling to develop and support negotiation strategies.
Lead proposal (RFX) process for high complexity and high-risk transactions / agreements.
Develop and maintain partnership approach with suppliers.
Develop supplier key performance indicators and service level agreements that drive value and optimization.
Support the implementation of procurement continuous improvement projects.
What you bring to the table :
A minimum of 5 years of related experience in complex procurement projects and strategic sourcing.
Bachelor's degree in Business or any combination of equivalent education and experience.
Understanding of strategic sourcing principles and P2P processes along with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize strategies.
Strong project management and communication skills.
Strong skills in critical thinking, decision-making, problem solving, and attention to details.
For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
