Join the multi-disciplinary team of mental health providers in a fee-for-service private psychotherapy practice in beautiful Prince Edward Island.

Serene View Ranch Psychological Services has been in operation since 2014 and provides individual, couple, and family therapy to youth and adults.

The major focus of our practice is serving Veterans, First Responders, RCMP and all citizens of PEI. We also provide psychological assessments, including child and adult psycho- educational assessment, return to work assessments and Veterans Affairs Disability Benefits Assessments.

We are seeking a psychologist who wants to be a part of this incredible team and expand the supports for trauma and PTSD clients from Prince Edward Island and neighbouring provinces.

At Serene View Ranch Psychological Services , we are committed to providing high-quality, exceptional care to our clients.

We provide evidence-based and trauma-focused treatments, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, DBT, Narrative Therapy, DBR, Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy, EMDR and Mindfulness.

Adjunct therapies include Triple P parenting, Mental Health OT team, Yoga Therapy, Holistic Nutrition, Yamuna Body Rolling, Art-Based Therapy, Acupuncture, Mental Health Pottery, Biofeedback, Neurofeedback and Music Therapy.

The successful candidate also has the following :

• You’re registered or eligible to register with the PEI Psychologists Registration Board (registered, provisional, or in the process of obtaining provisional status)
• You’re committed to at least 20 hours of client work per week, but part time applicants will be considered
• You have some experience with psychological testing / reports (some training can be provided onsite)
• Level of experience working with trauma models (training will also be provided onsite)
• Team oriented, positive and committed to clients and the team
• Opportunity to provide supervision to students doing placements at SVR
• Complete assessment reports, progress reports and discharge report summaries in a timely manner
• Comfortable using the clinic’s online management system (OWL-training available onsite)
• Complete a vulnerable sector screening
• Be open to taking more in-depth training in evidence-based trauma approaches
