Cost Management Accountant

Your primary responsibilities will include :

Manage firm financials, including payroll, AR / AP, bookkeeping, plan vs. actual reporting and forecasting, period-end reporting & financial statements.

1. Accounts Payable and Receivable :

  • Reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
  • Ensure timely processing of vendor invoices and customer payments.
  • Maintain accurate records of financial transactions.

2. Payroll Management :

  • Prepare payroll schedules and records.
  • Calculate employee salaries, deductions, and benefits.
  • Stay updated on national and provincial laws related to payroll and taxes.

3. Budgeting and Reporting :

  • Compile budget data based on estimated revenues and expenses.
  • Prepare periodical cost statements or reports.
  • Analyze budget vs. actual performance to identify discrepancies.
  • Report recommendations to COO based on deep analysis and data
  • Code, total, batch, enter, verify, and reconcile various financial transactions.
  • Maintain ledger entries in Quickbooks.

A successful candidate will have :

  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in Accounting or related field.
  • 5 years of related experience.
  • Sound judgment regarding confidential and sensitive matters.
  • Ability to deliver responsibilities and make decisions with minimal direct supervision.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to take initiative for own learning and development.
