The Departement Manager controls all department activities in accordance with store objectives and policies with a view to achieving maximum sales, while satisfying customer needs and maintaining a work environment conducive to staff engagement.

Description of main responsibilities :
- In conjunction with the Store Manager, sets sales targets and ensures store budget targets are met.
- Must be able to place departmental orders and purchases. Checks invoices for conformity with delivery notes and ensures receipt of goods.
- Ensures that the store is ready to receive customers in terms of quantity of merchandise, product labeling and rotation of perishables. Ensures that the department is ready to receive customers.
- Ensures that product labelling complies with store standards, head office price list and scanner cash register prices, and that price cards comply with the circular.
- Ensures compliance with planogram marketing.
- Must be able to complete employee work schedules.
- Ensures compliance with company policies (reception, safety, etc.) and occupational health and safety standards.
- Participates in employee induction, training and evaluation.
