Mechanical Engineer

AECOMs Buildings Places group is seeking an Intermediate Mechanical Engineer to join our Winnipeg team. As a key contributor within our mechanical discipline you will lead portions of design work perform engineering analyses and support construction administration across a wide range of building projects including healthcare institutional industrial municipal and commercial facilities.

You will collaborate closely with senior engineers technologists project managers and cross-discipline partners to deliver high-quality mechanical system designs aligned with client expectations and code requirements.

Design & Technical Leadership

• Develop mechanical system designs including HVAC plumbing controls and fire protection systems for new builds expansions and renovations.
• Perform detailed engineering calculations using tools such as load-calculation programs (e.g. Carrier HAP ).
• Prepare and review mechanical drawings specifications and technical reports at all project stages (concept schematic design development and IFC).
• Ensure all design work adheres to applicable building codes industry standards and internal QA / QC procedures.
