Your opportunity

We are currently seeking candidates for the position of GIS Project Manager. You will be a member of Dillon's GIS Discipline within the Data Integration Services Practice. You will be a key part of our multidisciplinary group serving our public sector (federal, provincial, and municipal), private and Indigenous clients. At Dillon, we operate as one team. The successful candidate can be based at any one of our offices in the GTA, Kingston or Ottawa. We offer flexible work hours to help balance the competing demands of work and personal life.

Responsibilities

• Project Leadership & Delivery : Provide the necessary leadership to plan, manage, implement, and deliver complex GIS and data analytics solutions to meet the needs of various lines of business. Lead multiple high‑priority, complex, long‑term projects through all specific phases in alignment with business strategies.
• Client Relationship Management : Engage clients and appropriate stakeholders to identify required outcomes, define deliverables, build consensus, and manage expectations. Establish and maintain a consultative relationship with internal and external clients.
• Team Coordination : Manage assigned projects to ensure effective cross‑divisional teamwork and communication. Supervise project staff and provide direction and coaching to foster a positive, supportive, and open culture.
• Scope & Financial Management : Manage project scope, schedule, and budget using tools that are part of the Microsoft and Google platforms. Accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects to deliver results and benefits.
• Risk & Process Management : Identify, evaluate, and document risks, issues, constraints, and dependencies. Implement effective change request processes and document current state and future process workflows.
• Proposal Development & Execution : Author and lead the submission of proposal documents for GIS and Data Analytics projects. Review technical content and coordinate with authors to support successful submissions.
