Job Description :

Schedule : FT Days and PTDays

As a Cardiac Sonographer with the HeartCenter you will collaborate with pediatric critical care medicinephysicians and hospitalists from McGovern Medical School atUTHealth.

This role involves providing twentyfourhour inhouse andoncall coverage to ensure the best care for patients with intensivecare needs.

The Childrens Heart Instituteequipped with stateoftheart techniques and services aims to providepatients with the most complex problems the greatest opportunityfor a normal life.

The role includes innovative treatment methodsspecialized services and ongoing cardiac training and mentorshipfor the sonographer team.

MinimumQualifications :

• Education : Graduate of an accreditedschool of Cardiac Sonography Technology Radiologic Technology orSonography Technology (preferred).
• License / Certification :
• Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support(required)
• One of the following (required) :
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) byCardiovascular Credentialing International
• Registered Congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) byCardiovascular Credentialing International
• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) byAmerican Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers(ARDMS)

Experience / Knowledge / Skills :

• Ability to liftand / or maneuver patients in conjunction with others for jobfunctions
• Demonstrates commitment to thePartnersinCaring process
• Excellent customerservice skills

PrincipalAccountabilities :

• Performsechocardiogram tests on patients
• Enters andmonitors patient data
• Performs qualityassurance on equipment
• Identifies and reportsaccidents complaints or equipment malfunctions
• Participates in performance improvementactivities
• Takes emergency call within thedepartment
• Ensures safe care to patients staffand visitors
