YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES AS PLANT MANAGER :
- Lead, mentor, and develop your team.
- Review and set KPIs and Targets.
- Ensure employees adhere to company Quality Assurance Program and Employment and Safety Policies and Procedures
- Maintain a production schedule and determine the human resources required.
- Recommend quality and efficiency improvements.
- Work with Supervisors to ensure proper training.
- Promote the documentation and adherence of standard operating procedures.
- Promote continuous improvement (CI).
- Monitor and review performance of staff.
- Ensure efficient collaboration between relevant departments.
- Communicate with Operations Manager to help with decision making.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR IN A PLANT MANAGER :
- Prior experience in a production manager or leadership role within manufacturing
- Strong people skills, both written and verbal communication
- Leadership qualities and positive role model behaviour
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Organizational and planning skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Conflict management expertise
- Ability to handle stress and maintain accuracy in procedures
- Technical experience in manufacturing preferred
- Previous management or supervisory experience required
