Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Security System Technician based in Calgary, AB. The Security System Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting physical security systems, including access control, CCTV, intercoms, and intrusion alarms. The role requires effective communication with team members, customers, and management while ensuring compliance with safety and industry standards.
- After completion of probationary period (3 months), a company vehicle, laptop, and cell phone will be provided.
- Quarterly performance bonus.
Qualifications
At least 1 year of installation and / or service experience in access control, CCTV, intercom systems.Installation and maintenance experience with access control systems, video surveillance (CCTV), intercoms, and intrusion alarms.ICT Protege WX and / or GX certification is an asset.Kantech Entrapass Corporate and / or Global certification is an asset.Familiarity with structured cabling, electrical systems, and general wiring principlesStrong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and technical diagnostic skillsAbility to interpret technical instructions, wiring diagrams, and building schematicsExcellent communication skills for client interaction and reportingCapable of working on-site in Calgary, AB, and surrounding areasPost-secondary education or certification in electronics, telecommunications, security systems, or a related field is an assetProficiency in using hand tools, testing devices, and software programs relevant to security systemsValid driver's license and the ability to travel locally to job sites using their own vehicle.IT and networking fundamentals is an asset.Ability to lift heavy objects and climb ladders is a requirement.#J-18808-Ljbffr
