About the Client
Our client is sourcing a Director of IT.
The Director, IT will be leading the strategic planning, development, and management of our IT systems for the company’s portfolio.
You will oversee both applications and infrastructure, playing a pivotal role in driving innovation, seamless integration, and fostering a high-performing team to achieve our technological and business objectives within the company’s portfolio.
Working closely with the leaders of the four different businesses and other key stakeholders in the organization, you will :
- Develop an IT & Data Security Strategy and Roadmap that achieves company’s business objectives, whilst ensuring it complies with standards and governance framework
- Oversee IT and Data Security programs, including but not limited to renewing policies and then building controls to ensure compliance, setting standards as regards systems, auditing from time-to-time, ensuring IT operations continue, and building a repository of best practices and knowledge base for team members
About the Opportunity
- As the primary point of accountability for companies within the broader IT ecosystem, you will cultivate robust relationships with colleagues to influence and shape the IT roadmap, aligning it with company strategies
- Drive crucial IT security, quality assurance, and governance initiatives, forging close partnerships with relevant business functions to ensure unwavering compliance
- Shape and execute strategies that span both Applications and Infrastructure, driving our overarching IT vision and objectives forward
- Collaborate across the organization to conduct in-depth evaluation of company IT technology strategy and a technology roadmap
- Oversee the enterprise’s security awareness training program
- Create and maintain the enterprise’s IT & security documents (policies, standards, baselines, guidelines & procedures)
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, ensuring the utmost data security, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance
- Take ownership of the development and maintenance of business-critical applications, such as Salesforce, FreshService, Jira, and Confluence, and others
- Guarantee our IT infrastructure's robustness, security, and scalability, encompassing networks and cloud services
About You
- Educated to Degree level or beyond in the field of computer science
- Minimum 10 years of IT & Data Security experience, including network and systems at an architect level (incl. enterprise-wide agreements)
- Hosting environment (Azure) architecture and supplier management experience
- GRC implementation and usage
- Strong project management skills coordinating multiple concurrent highly complex and high priority projects with considerable internal and external dependencies
- Extensive experience in decentralized business models
- Extensive experience in enterprise infrastructure architecture design
- Experience in enterprise security architecture design
- Experience and knowledge of security frameworks SCF, SANS20, ISO27001, NIST, etc.
- Experience and knowledge of security / privacy / regulatory standards GDPR, PCI, HIPPA, etc.
- ISO / IEC 27001 implementation and auditing compliance experience an advantage
- Software industry experience an asset

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
