We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Automotive Mechanic with a S apprenticeship at Level 3 or higher. The ideal candidate will have experience in maintaining and repairing gasoline and diesel-powered vehicles, heavy equipment, and small engine tools.
This role is crucial for keeping our operations running smoothly and ensuring the safety of our team on job sites.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on gasoline and diesel-powered pick-up trucks, heavy equipment, and small engine tools.
- Use modern diagnostic tools, in consultation with the Senior Mechanic, to identify breakdowns, order necessary parts, and remove, rework, and install various engine and chassis components.
- Conduct service calls for emergency breakdowns at job sites.
- Perform safety checks on all vehicles and equipment.
Qualifications :
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience servicing and repairing all components of trucks, heavy equipment, and small engine tools.
- Certified S mechanic or working towards certification.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations and practices.
- Experience working in the landscaping or construction industry would be an asset.
- Must have a G license with a clean abstract. A D license would be an asset.
