About The Role

This position has a hybrid work arrangement . On average, this means 1 day(s) on-site per week . Please note that this is subject to change due to business priorities.

Reporting to the Director of Cyber Security Engineering, the Cyber Security Engineer will serve as a technical subject matter expert, responsible for the design, implementation, and automation of resilient security solutions protecting ATB Financial’s critical assets.

This role serves as a senior-level technical subject matter expert and advisor responsible for engineering complex security infrastructure across cloud and on-premise environments. You will drive the full lifecycle of security initiatives, from designing firewalls and VPC controls to integrating advanced proactive systems like SIEM / SOAR and EDR - to harden the organization's security posture. By bridging the gap between engineering and leadership, you will ensure technical solutions align with business goals and financial industry compliance frameworks.

Accountabilities

• Implement and configure security controls based on established solution designs, focusing on cloud environments (GCP / AWS / Azure), network security, and identity platforms.
• Develop and maintain Terraform scripts to automate the deployment of security resources, ensuring consistency across environments.
• Act as a technical point of contact for Operations and Project teams, providing guidance on the application of security policies and troubleshooting security-related issues.
• Assist in the deployment and administration of IAM solutions, including SSO, MFA, and service account management, ensuring adherence to the Principle of Least Privilege.
• Manage and monitor cloud-native security features, including VPC Service Controls, Cloud Firewalls, WAF policies, and Load Balancer security configurations.
• Support the identification and remediation of vulnerabilities across the environment, collaborating with development teams to ensure secure coding and configuration.
• Create and update technical documentation, "runbooks," and process diagrams to ensure operational readiness and compliance.
• Assist the SOC and Incident Response teams during security events, providing technical context and helping to implement containment or remediation steps.
