Skilled Laborer

Hiring Skilled / Civil Labourers in Kelowna!

Up to $30 / hr

Job Description :

• Specialize in road work and onsite commercial and industrial Civil construction.
• Need to add two Skilled Labourers to the Kelowna crew.
• You will take daily direction from the site foreman, assisting Pipelayers and Equipment Operators on Civil sites.
• You will be helping the pipe crew, possibly running smaller equipment (roller, skid steer, loader), grading, slab prep, etc.

Qualifications :

• 1 year+ of previous Civil construction experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently throughout the day
• Understanding specs for storm and water (length of pipes)
• Local - lives in Kelowna, can get to sites around Kelowna
• Willing to work daily Over Time

Nice To Have Experience :

• HEO experience on skid steer, roller or loader
• Pipelaying experience

Work Environment :

• Employees need to be able to consistently lift up to 50lbs as jobs require physical exertion (ie. lifting, carrying, shoveling).
• Work in a variety of conditions
• Shovel dirt, sand, rock, and mud
• Work with a variety of hand and power tools
• Work around heavy equipment
• Work in trenches and open excavation
• Work in confined spaces (with appropriate training only)
• Follow safety rules, safe work practices, and wear all required personal protective equipment

Shift :

• Monday - Friday
• Occasional Saturdays (Optional)
• Typically work 10-12 hours a day

Wage :

$26 / hr - $30 / hr - Based on experience
